Krajowy Rejestr Długów Biuro Informacji Gospodarczej SA (KRD Economic Information Bureau, hereinafter referred to as KRD BIG SA or the Bureau) respects the privacy of every person using its services.
The scope of personal data collected by the Bureau is in compliance with the Act of 9 April 2010 on Disclosure of Economic Information and Exchange of Economic Data (Journal of Laws, No. 81, item 530).
Pursuant to the above-mentioned Act, the Bureau registered a set of personal data in the Bureau of the Inspector General for the Protection of Personal Data under the name ‘KRAJOWY REJESTR DŁUGÓW BIURO INFORMACJI GOSPODARCZEJ SA’. Customers have the right to access information on the said set of data at www.giodo.gov.pl. Moreover, the Bureau operates in accordance with the KRD BIG SA Rules and Regulations of Data Management, approved by GIODO (Inspector General for the Protection of Personal Data) and the Minister of Economy. Every person has the right to use the services provided by the Bureau specified in the Bureau’s regulations, and in particular:
the right to access information regarding them, and in particular economic information processed by the Bureau;
the right to demand supplementation, updating, correction or removal of data if this data is incomplete, out of date, untrue or has been made available or is kept in violation of the said Act, pursuant to the Bureau’s regulations;
the right to access the inquiry register as regard to the disclosure of a given person’s data – accessing the inquiry register is free of charge if it is not accessed more often than every 6 months;
the right to provide the Bureau with information on the non-existence of a given liability, as well as on the expiration of a liability or deferment of liability performance.
Entrepreneurs as well as consumers can use the services of the Bureau after signing an agreement with the Bureau under the principles specified in the Bureau’s regulations.
Services offered by the Bureau can be accessed through the following communication channels:
written correspondence with the Bureau,
electronic data storage devices,
other transmission channels.
Electronic communication channels are secured against unauthorized access with the use of cryptographic methods.
KRD BIG SA satisfies the requirements of the Personal Data Protection Act of 29 August 1997 and the Ordinance of the Minister of the Interior and Administration of 29 April 2004 on personal data processing documentation and technical and organisational conditions which should be satisfied by computer devices and systems used for personal data processing.
The Bureau’s IT system uses the latest technologies, which guarantees a high level of protection for the entrusted data. With the aim of protecting customer data, the Bureau applies a number of physical and procedural solutions that ensure data confidentiality, integrity, accessibility and accountability.
The Bureau has implemented and obtained ISO 27001 certification for its Information Security Management System.

If a given user of the Bureau’s websites has subscribed to the Bureau’s mailing list with the aim of receiving, among others, the ‘Creditor’s Handbook' free of charge, this user automatically gives his/ her consent to periodically receive messages sent to the e-mail address given by this user. The customer may at any time terminate this service.
Configuration on the customer’s end
Pursuant to art. 173, paragraph 1 of the Telecommunications Law Act of 16 July 2004 (Journal of Laws 2004, No. 171, item 1800), we would like to inform that KRD BIG SA websites use cookie files set for website ‘entry’ and ‘exit’ points. Cookies are not used to identify or determine the identity of individual users. What is important, cookie files do not damage the system of a given user's end device and have no influence on the operation of the end device. Cookie files do not affect the settings of the user’s end device and they do not affect the operation of software installed in these devices. However, cookie files are used for the following:
to adjust website contents to the user’s preferences and to optimise website use; in particular, cookie files make it possible to recognise the user's device and properly display the website that has been adjusted to its individual technical conditions;
to compile statistics that help to understand the way in which the users use the websites, which, in turn, makes it possible to improve their structure and contents;
to improve the websites through maximum individualization of contents displayed to a given website user.
The Bureau’s websites use three basic types of cookie files:
Session cookies which are temporary files stored on the user’s computer until the moment of logging out, exiting the website or closing the Internet browser. They are used in the case of services that require authentication as part of a given website.
Permanent cookies which are stored on the computer for the duration specified in the Internet browser parameters or until the moment of being removed by the user. They are used for remembering selected website settings and for personalisation of user interface.
Third party cookies that make it possible to gather information on the way websites are used and to provide the user with advertisement content optimally adjusted to the user’s interests.
Cookie files are placed on the user’s computer and can be also used by advertisers and partners cooperating with KRD BIG SA.
